Happy New Year and My Divine Digi Deal!

Happy New Year!! Did you all make lots of resolutions? I guess I am going to have to knuckle down and figure out what I am going to do this year about my weight and physical condition. I WAS going to have surgery this month for the acid reflux, but that has been canceled. Hubby does not feel it is for me. But, since I am not going to have this surgery (which the docs said would cause me to loose about 15- 20 pounds) I am going to have to figure out a different way to control my acid reflux and to loose some weight. Sigh, I guess it is going to take some work.

Another area I need to get some improvement in is the house organization. I just looked in my closet and realized that I am only using a fraction of the space in there wisely. The rest of the closet is stuffed with clothes and things that we will never use again. Then, there are the things in the other closets of the house that need to be organized and things in the cabinets under the sink and things in the buffet in the living room, things in the shelves in the bedroom —-the list goes on! It doesn’t help that hubby has issues with throwing stuff away. He just does not believe in it. I have to wait til he is out of town sometimes to do a good clean out.

So, did you all make some resolutions?

Moving ON

Check it out, my newest kit, Whispers of the Forest, is the Divine Digi Deal this week. This means you can get the kit for $2.00!

This is the kit I showed a preview of a week or so ago. It has a fairy, a unicorn and much more. With 23 papers the papers alone are worth the $2. Here is a preview of four of my favorite papers in the kit. But, it also has a bunch of regular papers that are not so hard to use.

Next week I will be posting a challenge in the forum at Divine Digital and the participation gift will be an add on to this kit. Just a tip about this add on, it will have another fairy in it.

  • Beautiful and adorable kitties.
Last year at this time I was at the doctor thinking my gall-bladder was giving out. After tests it was determined I had bad acid reflux. I started biking in April, added ballet in June, Running and cutting calories in August. I have lost 28 pounds and my acid reflux is almost gone.
I hope you can find an excersise you love and get the same results. It is so worth it! I am also back into most of my cute clothes. Being pain free and wearing fun clothes, who could ask for more.

  • Glad I visited your blog today! I just got diagnosed with acid reflux a couple of months ago, and I’ve been wondering how it hit me out of the blue like this, and what I need to do to get rid of it. I’m sorry you are having such a difficult time with it, and happy to read that Michelle (above) is getting hers under control. Sounds like we need a digi-scrappers’ support group for this, lol.

    Nancy,
I hope something can be done for your acid reflux. It’s not a fun ailment to live with every day. Feel better!

  • I did not make any resolutions this year.

I had suffered from acid reflux, and wanted an all natural approach so I started taking acidophilus and Omega 3-6-9’s and also some digestive enzymes and it has really helped me. Along with staying away from things that really flare it up like onions, grease and spicy foods. Its been months since I had an incident.

I hope you find some relief.

    Thanks for visiting my blog!

Well I can’t help with the acid reflex, I do suffer from the clutter problem. I do not make resolutions any more, but have been trying to organize my tiny house. I don’t know if you have heard of Oprah Winfrey or not, She’s sort of the Queen of talk shows, any way he show tapes in Chicago, where she’s more like a god (oops goddess) than just a queen, and I live in the burbs of Chicago. Oprah has teamed up with Peter something, a clutter guru, to help all us clutter bugs (his term not mine) get organized. I read some of the stuff on Oprah’s website (oprah.com) and this guy has some smallish steps one can take to tame the clutter. I’m going to try some of the tips and see if the piles of stuff disappear, so far I have been working on the bedroom and have made a teen tiny difference but got stalled with the Christmas holiday and work. Check it out it may help.

That is a pretty kit!! I need to organize my closet and some shelves also, maybe I will try and do that this coming weeks! Happy New Year. 🙂

  • I don’t really make “new year’s resolutions.” I try to work on 1 new (small) habit at a time. Then, I add the next step, and so on. This is a constant thing, not just at the beginning of the year.

Your new kit is a beauty! Thank you for showing it.

    Blessings~
