Moving On

At 8:00 this morning, a crew of workers descended upon our home and proceeded to tear up the roof and more. In less than an half an hour Our skylights were gone with the bare sky showing through and strangers were all over the roof. Clio and Dayton have been banished to the spare bedroom and the air condition ducts have been traced and measured from top to bottom.

With this trip digit heat we have been having, hubby is convinced the duct work really is off. Living in a manufactured home (ie. a trailer – lol) with cathedral ceilings, we have no attic. In order to get to the ducts the air conditioner man will have to go through the roof. Well, we need a new roof cause of hail damage from a couple of years ago and were given money from the insurance company to do it. So, it all came together this morning.

Noise, mess, and more that is my life today. Hubby thinks they can get it all done in one day – we’ll see.

Moving On

We finally got the new grill broke in. The daughter and several of her friends came over to target practice and shoot their guns and afterwards her special one used the new grill to cook us some hamburgers. There is nothing so good as hamburgers grilled outside – YUMMMY.

Now that hubby has been shown how good it can be, he just might be willing to do some himself. He has been holding back saying that we needed a special pan to cook the food in over the gas grill. Personally, I would love to be able to run out there and cook my meat everyday. There are a few steaks in the freezer that would be absolutely delicious cooked on the grill.

OOPS the dudes on the roof are doing something to the electricity cause it is going off and on! Well, there goes the air conditioner. Thank goodness we have a back up battery for the computer. OH NO – they are bringing in their air compressor – there goes my ears for sure, that thing is noisy! But, he said they would not be here long – they want to get it done and get off that hot roof. It is supposed to be VERY HOT today.

Moving ON
