Mason Goes to Houston & CU Brushes

Yep, we had Mason in Houston last week. It was a short trip time-wise, but a long trip in other ways. We left here around noon Wednesday, drove to the DD house two hours away and picked her and Mason up and then on to Houston. Of course it was not that simple. First we had to stop at WalMart to get my RX’s which were not ready, then we had to get some lunch. Then when we got Mason and DD in the car we needed to stop to get some kind of portable sleeping arrangement for him. It took two stores, but we found the one DD wanted and were able to purchase it. Also, we had to have supper and SO DID MASON! By the time we got to Houston it was after ten. We did not get home til late on Friday–though we dropped Mason and DD off around 6.

The whole purpose of the trip for us was to attend the closing on the property we had for sale in the area. But, the closing fell through although we did not get the phone call until we were on the road to get the daughter. They still needed our signatures so the trip was needful anyway. But, it sure was a disappointment about not getting the property sold.

Mason and his mother came along so they could visit with family members we had in the area. My mother, Mason’s Great grandmother is in an assisted living home in Baytown and my Sister lives in the area as well. It was good to see them and we had a great time with them. Here are two photos of Mason with his relatives. the one on the left is his Great Grandmother and the one on the right is his Auntie Granny –my sister. I am so glad we took the time to go by Mother’s and let her hold him. She was thrilled. And Mason was soo good while there. He was not asleep or hungry, he was just looking around and enjoying himself.

Moving ON

I made you all some grungie brushes. The files include the abr files for Photoshop and then there are also some png images of each of them. These brushes will make great edges on your papers. Just lightly run them down the edge of the paper. You can set the fill on the brush to less than 50% to give you better control. The speckled one would work on just about anything too. When using them though, be sure to adjust the size to pretty large–over 400 px to get the best effect. Larger would be even better. Commercial Use OK with these brushes and the tou in the files says so.
