Moving On

WOW I never get company and then in four days I had company twice!

The oldest daughter came up to spend the night and the next day over the weekend. Her BABY BUMP is showing! Well, its not really just a bump anymore, she is about six months along. But, it is so suprising to see. We went shopping on Saturday for baby clothes – BOY clothes. I know nothing about little boys. But, it looks like I am going to learn.

On Monday, my brother and wife and my sister came visiting. They stayed the night and went home around eleven the next day. Sis brought her little dog and boy the cats just did not know how to act. He could not make a move without them checking him out. Dayton became MR. Puff ball every other minute. Clio just scared him off with her bad breath by hissing at him all the time.

We had a good visit. I cooked a big meal on Monday night – ham, scalloped potatoes, broccoli, salad, and rolls. YUMMY. Most of it was done in the morning and just needed a little attention to get it cooked and to the table. I cooked way too many potatoes – but I was thinking one and a half potatoe per person. And they were kind of small potatoes too. Oh well, the coyotes will scoff them up.

We went tramping through the woods on Tuesday morning. I had really wanted to show off the grandpa trees – the ones that are older than one hundred years. But, it was not very pleasant. It had rained during the night and was very humid. They humored me though and put on the shoes I provided as all they had were sandles. Little Peanut (Sis’s little dog) wanted to explore so bad, but hubbie kept him close as he might have found something that he would have regretted finding – LOL

But, now they are gone and the house is quiet. I can’t say it is back to normal as it is abnormally clean. I get a little thrill every time I look at the guest bedroom and see how nice it looks all cleaned up. Wonder how long that will last? My office doesn’t look too bad either. Big Kudos to hubbie for all the cleaning he did. He did the majority of the work and I really appreciated it.
